• What Email Address should I use? Enter the email address of the person who will prepare tax returns, make payments, and receive information about each filing.
• What if I don't get an email message from PALite? Please wait a few minutes and check for new messages again. Most email systems use a spam filter; check your Spam, Junk mail, Bulk mail, or Quarantine folder to see if the message from PALite was delivered there instead of your inbox. To ensure that future messages from PALite are delivered properly, add the following email address to your Contacts: accountinfo@PALite.org
• My email address changed. Why can't I change my email address? You logged in using an existing account from a prior tax filing year. PALite is attempting to migrate your existing account information to the new account as specified on this web page. PALite will use this existing email address for communications relating to this site, your account, and tax filings. If you do not want to migrate the account, or no longer have access to your old email address, but still want to use PALite.org, then do the following:
  1. Clear any web browser cookies for PALite.org or use a different web browser to complete the PALite registration process
  2. Go to the PALite Portal home page and click the "Create A New Account" button
  3. Complete the registration form with your current email address
  4. Follow any remaining steps as indicated in the emails you receive from PALite.org
  You can contact PALite technical support at BIGTaxSupportServices@4service.net to delete your old account.

• What if my school district is not listed here? This list includes all of the school districts whose taxes are collected by members of the PALite local tax cooperative. If you resided, for any portion of the tax year, in an area outside the PALite local tax cooperative, choose “Not Listed” from the top of both the School District and Municipality lists. You must file additional tax returns with other agencies for earnings while you resided there.

• What if I’m not sure what municipality I lived in during the tax year? After you choose a school district, the list of municipalities shows only those municipalities inside the selected school district. Be sure you have selected the proper school district.
• What if the municipality I lived in during the tax year is not listed here? Be sure you have selected the proper school district. Only the municipalities in the selected school district are displayed. If you resided, for any part of the tax year, in a school district that is not on this list, choose “Not Listed”. You must file additional tax returns with other agencies for earnings while you resided there.

Your username must be at least 6 characters long AND :

• Must contain only letters and/or numbers (in other words, no special characters)
• Letters can be any combination of upper-case and/or lower-case

Your password must be at least 8 characters long AND contain:

• At least one lowercase letter
• At least one uppercase letter
• At least one number
• At least one of the following special characters:
  * $ + . ? _ & = ! % { } /

Individuals may use PALite to prepare an earned income tax return when filing with any of the following collectors:

• Blair County Tax Collection Bureau
• Danville Area Earned Income Tax Office - Montour County
• Municipal & School Earned Income Tax Office - Lycoming County
• York Adams Tax Bureau

When filing taxes with one or more of the participating collectors, you are eligible to use PALite unless:

• You resided outside of Pennsylvania for some portion of the tax year (January 1 through December 31).
• You lived at more than three Pennsylvania addresses during the tax year.
• You moved at some time during the tax year AND have multiple W-2 forms from the same employer.
• You had earnings from out of state or have wages from a state other than PA reported in box 15 of a W-2 form.
• You have a W-2 form with local withholdings reported for Philadelphia (sometimes noted as Phila, PHI or 51) in box 20.
• You worked in the City of Altoona but resided outside the city.

Spouses must both be eligible if they intend to file on the same return.
